Handyman/Maintenance: Small jobs in the barn as needed, lawn care, cleaning offices, remodeling projects, assist staff getting hay into our barn etc.
Spring Clean Up: Clean saddles, pick up stones in paddocks, hay clean out, possible painting, pick up sticks, etc.
Barn Chores: Morning or Evening feeding of the horses, watering if needed, possible picking manure in pasture.
Horse Exercising: Experience horse person needed to exercise horses, either ground work or some riding. Restrictions might apply to some of the horses.
Fundraising: Work with staff to plan, coordinate and execute fundraising for services provided by CHAPS for families unable to pay. Our largest fundraiser is the 2nd Saturday of October “Fall Frolic Family Fun Day”.
“Fall Frolic Family Fun Day”: Volunteer for the day assisting with our games, raffles, welcome table, food stand etc.
Office Assistance: Help staff with mailings, mail lists, short term projects.
Technical Assistance: Design and management of Website, assisting with computer troubleshooting
Committees: Special Events, Resource, Advisory and Capital Campaign
Materials Needed: gas vouchers for clients $10 increments, cones, PVC pipe for building obstacles, shovels, manure picks, heated buckets for barn, insulation for arena, safety riding helmets, barn boots for client use (all sizes), material for outdoor horse shelter, gates and fencing, materials to remodel for a bathroom, horse treats, round pen, T-posts.
